It was thrill to open the entertainment section of The Province last Thursday and see a beautiful photo of local (and very talented) fiddler Jocelyn Pettit along with a great write-up on this 18-year-old. As much as I have been able, I have followed this young lady's progress as not only a fine Celtic fiddle player, but she has added singing and step-dancing to her programs. This is a family affair, with mum Siew on keyboards and her dad Joel the manager. All success in the years ahead Jocelyn and in the near future when you travel with your family to France to perform.

Hilltop House (HTH) has birthday teas each month along with many other social events. HTH has a lovely selection of cups and saucers that were donated, but the staff feels it would be easier for the residents to enjoy their tea and coffee from mugs, but not big mugs. Anyone who has smaller, decorated mugs with large handles is asked to consider donating them to HTH.
