The Squamish Chief polled 273 readers and asked the question: Do you support the provincial government's decision not to back the 2030 Olympic bid?
On Oct. 27, Minister of Tourism, Sport and Culture Lisa Beare announced that the provincial government did not support a bid to bring the Winter Olympics back to Vancouver and Whistler.
