When we choose to accept a risk of say riding a short distance without a helmet, it is likely driven by the reward of having a wind in your hair experience. Some people will see a high risk as being low; and others will perceive a low risk as being high. This may explain why you will occasionally see some individuals buying cigarettes and lottery tickets at the same time. Risk (like beauty; perhaps love) is in the eye of the beholder. With my newly acquired motorcycle habit, I'm going to resist the temptation of offering safety advice to others. Hopefully organ donor cards will be signed but unused.
