Editor's note: This is a letter to Hon. Mary Polak, B.C.'s Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. It was copied to The Chief for publication.
Sections of our Upper Squamish Valley Road are dangerously disintegrating into pulverized asphalt. At the best of times, we have to drive towards the centre of the road (into oncoming traffic) to avoid the lurking potholes. At the worst of times, we do not see the potholes because they are submerged in rainwater, and so we neglect our driving while searching for sound pavement to travel on.
Our road is transited by all types of motor vehicles, including buses with children.
Please, let us prevent a fatal accident; there is so much to live for in our Beautiful British Columbia!
Thank you so very much for your time.
