Has this country stepped off the dock of reason altogether? Is the Shining Valley the last refuge of sanity?

An Ontario woman recently filed a lawsuit against the Resort Municipality of Whistler after she sustained serious injuries in July 2011 while riding her bike on a teeter totter in the Whistler Village Bike Park (not the same as the Whistler Mountain Bike Park). The blogosphere has been less than kind to the injured party, as the following entry will attest: "Disgusting. She should have stayed in Ontario on the paved trails with training wheels." But the coup de grâce comes from another blogger: "In my opinion, she's suing the wrong people. The real guilt lies with all the four- and five-year-old kids in that park all day riding over that teeter totter. They didn't fully explain to her the possible ramifications and dangers, and gave her a false sense of security."
