We would like a believable, logical reason why our school district's name has been changed.
All the people that I have mentioned this to had no idea this has happened. A very proud "Howe Sound District #48" is now "Sea to Sky District #48."
Many of the grads of Howe Sound still live here in the district, our children are all grads of same and there are even grandchildren attending Howe Sound Schools and proud to be part of family history.
In this time of all schools making massive cuts to instructional costs, as in teachers, school supplies, most sports teams and all extras, it makes no sense.
I'm sure all residents and users of District 48 would like to have a total cost of all the changes to stationary labelling, painting etc. this will involve.
