Thanks teachers

I had the pleasure of accompanying my son's class to Naramata for the Kettle Valley Railroad bike trip last week.

I had the pleasure of accompanying my son's class to Naramata for the Kettle Valley Railroad bike trip last week.

What an amazing experience for all that went, especially because of the hard work of Sue Emerick and Katrina Doherty and all the parents, volunteers and Pat the bus driver (and of course Penny).

The riding was so much fun and the other activities such as the waterslides made the trip one of the best I have ever been on.

We are so blessed in Squamish to have so many teachers that go above and beyond their job description and are such great mentors to our children.

I thank all of you that either bought tickets for our burger and beer fundraiser, or that pledged the children for the bike marathon and all of the parents and children that made the trip so enjoyable.

A sad farewell to Mrs. Emerick who is retiring, you are amazing and will be missed. Katrina, you are the kind of teacher the kids will always remember. Thank you for all you do, not only at Valleycliffe but for the soccer community as well.
