While the "newspapers are dead" remark brought Clemens to your mind, it brought Nietzsche to mine ("Alive and kickin'," Editorial, Chief, June 7).
At one point in time, there were T-shirts printed with "God is dead [signed] Nietzsche." Some folks even believed it.
Time passed and new T-shirts were printed saying, "Nietzsche is dead [signed] GOD."
It is sadly ironic that someday that speaker's obituary will no doubt be published in the newspaper.
