The Squamish Chamber is excited to welcome Nicola Fairweather with Business Grants Canada back again this year to be a part of our Grant Writing Program! The program has been officially launched for 2024 and will provide qualifying businesses with grant writing support to receive non-dilutive funding.
Any interested business can apply but must complete and pass all the requirements to submit the application. To help with this process, we are hosting a Grant Readiness Workshop on March 27th with Nicola where she will help you prepare your necessary documents, paperwork, and accounts. This will be followed by the Grant Application Workshop on April 3rd with Nicola where she will help all qualifying applicants write and apply for the CDAP and Accessibility Grants that are feasible for most everyone.
We will be hosting our Annual General Meeting on April 17th at the Howe Sound Brew Pub for members and future members, to announce the 2023 Overview and Financials, 2024 Board Election or placements, and key initiatives for the coming year.
Our Youth Programming is scheduled with Howe Sound Secondary for the foreseeable future and will run twice per semester, including a Youth Connect mentorship event and a Youth Business Pitch finale at the end of the term. The business pitch will be like a Dragon’s Den and open to the public June 18th.
Business networking Après 5 this month will be hosted at Euphoria Natural Health from 5-7pm on April 9th.
And last but certainly not least, we are excited to welcome our new Executive Director, Anne Mackenzie, please check out the press release on our website and in The Squamish Chief for more information.
