What’s better than fresh snow and world-class mountain views?

How about all that... with a steaming cup of hot chocolate in hand.

For the first time, Tacofino is bringing its bold flavours and laid-back vibe to the Squamish Hot Chocolate Festival and their debut entry is a must-try. Cue the Coconut Cloud Hot Chocolate—a dreamy blend of toasted coconut, rich chocolate and warming winter spices that will make your après sweeter than ever.

Not your average cocoa

Like all Tacofino menu items, the Coconut Cloud Hot Chocolate draws inspiration from bold flavours discovered in surf destinations around the world. Inspired by suaves—a beloved coconut marshmallow snack from the Northwest Coast of Mexico—the Coconut Cloud Hot Chocolate is all about comfort with a twist.

“We wanted to create something that everyone could enjoy, blending subtle notes of cinnamon, ginger and clove for a flavour profile that’s balanced, approachable and a little bit special,” explains Operations Manager,  Berenice Balbuena.

Special it most certainly is. Topped with a pillowy coconut marshmallow cloud and paired with a mini version of Tacofino’s signature Diablo Cookie, the Coconut Cloud Hot Chocolate is pure decadence in a cup. Stir in the marshmallow, and you’ll unlock an extra layer of toasted coconut goodness, transforming every sip into a flavour journey—starting with smooth, rich cocoa and finishing with a gentle, warming kick of spice. It’s cozy, delicious and exactly the kind of unexpected innovation you’ve come to expect at Tacofino.

“We wanted to create something that feels like a natural extension of what we stand for; fresh ingredients, big flavours and a connection to the community,” explains Balbuena. “There’s nothing better than sipping a warm drink on a snowy day, surrounded by the incredible mountain views that make Squamish so special.”

Make it an experience

While you’re enjoying the scenery, you can also indulge in other updates to the menu. New happy hour offerings include items like crispy Chicken Karaage Bites and Loaded Tots available at unbeatable prices from 3–6 PM, Monday to Friday.
