Harbour Air says it will start direct flights from Vancouver to Butchart Gardens next month, with guests arriving and departing from the attraction’s wharf in Saanich Inlet.
The service will be offered from Wednesdays to Sundays starting June 12 and continuing to Sept. 15.
Passengers will leave Harbour Air’s downtown Vancouver terminal at 11:30 a.m. and arrive at Butchart Gardens at 12:10 p.m. Departures from Butchart Gardens will be at 2:30 p.m.
Ticket sales opened on Tuesday, with round-trip prices starting at $499 per person and includes admission to the 55 acres of gardens near Brentwood Bay.
“The new Harbour Air scheduled service gives visitors a uniquely Canadian way to enjoy our spectacular British Columbia coastline and our world-famous show garden in a one-of-a-kind experience,” said Butchart Gardens CEO Dave Cowen. “We look forward to working together for many years to come.”
Tourism Minister Lana Popham said the new offering pairs “two iconic tourism experiences — a flight over B.C.’s extraordinary coast and a visit to Butchart’s world-class gardens.”
