First things first… “Don’t believe everything you read.”
I thank the Chief for making this space available for people to get informed but if you really want to know what I’m about please feel free to drop me a line anytime – I’m very easy to get a hold of.
So I’ve been elected twice now and my record is out for all to see so choosing what to share here is tough – how about I cater it to you.
Those who have never met me:
I’m Bryan Raiser (hi). I moved here for a writer/producer job in ’96 and fell in love with the town in’97.
I’m a freelance writer/daddy/politician. My fun time is spent mountain biking and playing roller derby with my wife and two young daughters. I’m also a very big fan of socializing with the amazing people in our community.
Those of you who appreciate the work I’ve done over the last decade:
Thanks, I really do appreciate the support. I’m going to continue doing what I’ve done all along. Including of course my strong advocacy for safe pedestrian/cycling routes and my dedication to answering my emails, text, Facebook, Twitter and even voicemail.
Those that are really upset with me because of the work I’ve done over the last decade.
Please don’t be silent. The best thing for democracy to work is for dialogue to happen among different views. Thank you to the many of you who take the time to dialogue with me sharing your opposing views – more often than not, middle ground is found and that’s the way this game should be played.

Continue business retention and expansion program.
Promote and sell Squamish as a place to do business.
Strengthen and diversify our economic base.
Collaboration: Chamber, Squamish Nation, BIA, CAN.
Continue finding efficiencies with development process.
Make downtown waterfront vibrant
Social & Recreational Goals
Improve social and recreational opportunities in neighborhoods for everyone from toddlers to seniors.
Connect neighborhoods with enhanced transportation options including bike lanes and public transit.
Foster sense of community pride with neighborhood gathering spaces.
Protect and preserve Squamish’s natural legacies
Consultative approach.
With my council experience I am knowledgeable and have the energy and commitment to see Squamish move into the future. With your support I will continue working hard to engage the community and move issues forward.
