A 33-year-old man was arrested near the collision scene.

An alleged impaired and uninsured driver drove into six parked vehicles in Vancouver on New Year’s Day.

Vancouver police officers responded to Cornwall Avenue and Vine Street around 9 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Sgt. Steve Addison says a 33-year-old man was driving an uninsured BMW and struck the six vehicles.

The driver was arrested near the collision scene and an impaired driving investigation is underway.

"He has since been released from custody pending completion of the investigation and charge approval,” says Addison.
