Born: Nov. 1st, 1954, Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
Deceased: Dec. 7th, 2022, Squamish B.C.
Age 68
Curt passed away on Dec. 7th after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was raised in Squamish and spent most of his adult life in the area. After graduating high school, Curt pursued an electrical career and worked in many areas of B.C. and Alberta, as well as working at the Woodfibre Pulp Mill for 15 years. Curt was a lifelong member of IBEW Union. He was an avid sports fan, especially football.
Curt loved camping and fishing and spent time pursuing these activities.
He spent countless hours fishing on Birkenhead Lake, in his boat, which the family aptly called the "Good Ship Lollipop." He loved listening to his tunes and having the odd cold beer.
Curt was a storyteller second to none and shared his colourful observations of the world whenever he found a willing ear. Unfortunately, Curt was not given the time to pursue and enjoy a much-deserved, long retirement. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Curtis is predeceased by his parents Fred and Loretta, brother Art, brother-in-law Bill, and nephew, Ryan. Curt is survived by his wife Gina, his sons Dan and Tim, his daughter Amanda, his granddaughter Grace, his eight surviving siblings and Gina's son's Stuart (Vannessa), Andrew (Raelene) and granddaughters Hazel and Joni . Thank you to the Squamish Hospital Oncology Unit staff for their care. Also, a special thanks to Mickey Bain for her endless compassion and support. A graveyard service will take place in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the BC Cancer Agency, or a charity if your choice.
