It is with great sadness that friends and family announce the passing of Rick Heisler.
Born Aug. 2, 1962, Rick spent most of his life working in Toronto with his company, Best For Less Construction.
After getting sick, he left for the West Coast and lived in Whistler and then Squamish for the past 10 years.
He fought hard, got healthy and continued doing renovations and worked for the past number of years managing apartments on Cleveland Ave.
He also built birdhouses on the side so that he could fund his true passion: feeding kids.
Rick got sick again and fought like a champion right till the end.
He passed away with friends at his side on Feb. 27, 2023. Rick is survived by his daughter, Liz. He was truly one-of-a-kind and will be deeply missed in our hearts and by all on Cleveland Ave.
A casual gathering will be held at The Ledge Community Coffee House on Saturday, March 11, at 2 p.m. Come share your stories about Rick!
