A host of local newly-formed bands are performing at a band exhibition night to raise funds for the Humanity Village project. The show features five bands of young, up-and-coming musicians. Event organizer Ruth MacKellar was astounded by the quality of the performances.
"I couldn't believe it, these guys were fantastic," she said. "They have so much energy and love for what they're doing."
Performing on stage will be Vengence, Bad Radio, Tsunamica and solo artist Gadi Bois. The fifth band is so new, it doesn't have a name yet.
The event will be held at the Eagle Eye Theatre Thursday (May 5) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students with proceeds going to tsunami disaster relief.
