Environment Canada has issued two weather warnings for the Sea to Sky region
Snowfall warning:
- What: 15 to 20 cm of snow.
- When: Tuesday afternoon through early Wednesday morning.
- Where: Sea to Sky Highway Squamish to Whistler.
A Pacific frontal system will bring heavy snow to the area, with challenging driving conditions expected along the Squamish to Whistler corridor, particularly at higher elevations like the Duffey Lake Road.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced in heavy snowfall.
Drivers are urged to use winter tires or chains, adjust speed to road conditions, and ensure vehicles are equipped for winter travel.

Rainfall warning:
- What: 50 to 70 mm of rain.
- When: Tuesday near noon through early Wednesday morning.
- Where: Howe Sound and surrounding areas.
Heavy rain will accompany the same weather system as it moves across lower elevations. This may cause high water flows, pooling on roads, and localized flooding, especially in areas with poor drainage. Flash flooding is also possible during intense downpours.

- Ensure emergency kits are ready with essentials like water, food, medicine, and a flashlight.
- If driving in heavy rain, turn on headlights, slow down, and maintain a safe following distance.
