Squamish news brief: Business as usual at Stong's Market after window smashed Friday morning

Someone threw something through the window this morning, but no one was hurt and nothing was taken, says spokesperson for store.

While many folks have been talking about seeing a window smashed at Squamish's Stong's Market downtown, both the store and the RCMP say it was a minor incident.

Residents walking down Cleveland Avenue early this morning saw a broken window and glass scattered out onto the sidewalk.

Those up very early saw RCMP officers outside the store.

A spokesperson for the market confirmed in an email to The Squamish Chief that the window was broken, and said that no one was hurt and nothing was taken.

"We are open for business!"

RCMP also confirmed that it was an attempted break-in, but appeared nothing was taken.
