The top names given to babies born in B.C. in 2019 are in.
Of the almost 41,000 babies born in the province this year, the most popular name was Olivia, according to a Ministry of Health news release on Dec. 31.
The stats are from the Vital Statistics Agency's preliminary figures from Jan. 1 to Dec. 18, 2019.
Olivia is followed by Oliver, Lucas, Liam, Ethan, Noah, William, Benjamin, Charlotte, Emma and Leo for 2019.
In 2018, of the almost 44,000 babies born in the province, Liam was the most popular followed by Olivia, Emma, Lucas, Oliver, Benjamin, Ethan, Noah, Logan and Amelia.
